QIB announces January Salary transfer campaign winners

Qatar’s leading Islamic Bank, has announced the winners of the first round of its running Salary Transfer promotional campaign – “Bonus for 15 Years”. For January 2017, two QIB customers won one Bonus salary for the next 15 years while three won one Bonus salary for this year. The winners were randomly selected from the eligible pool for the month of January draw conducted in the presence of an official representative from the Ministry of Economy and Commerce and QIB representatives. There will be two more draws for the months of February and March.

The lucky winners who won one extra month salary per year for the next 15 years are: Mashael Al Hamad and A. Al Hababi. The winners of the one month bonus salary are: S. Al Bouzan, R. Al Marri and Z. Baballi. Customers still have the chance to win a Bonus salary for 15 years by opening new salary accounts with QIB during the three-month campaign, until 31st of March 2017.

“I would like to thank QIB for this initiative and I’m very happy to win the prize, I wasn’t expecting to be one of the winners when I transferred my salary to QIB.” said, Mashael Al Hamad, one of the winners of the big prize. “ I was finalizing the paperwork for my employment contract, and my first surprise was to win a prize worth one additional salary per year for the next 15 years.” she added.

Monthly draws will produce five winners with a total of 15 winners until the end of the campaign. Six Winners will win a Bonus salary of up to QR 25,000 for 15 years and nine winners will win one Bonus salary in total of up to QR 25,000.

Customers who transfer their salaries to QIB before the end of March 2017 are also eligible for a special buyout rate when transferring existing obligations from other banks. Minimum salary required to be eligible to enter the monthly draws is QR 10,000.

They will be instantly issued debit cards and get 24/7 access to their accounts via phone, internet and mobile banking. Their first cheque book will be provided free of charge.

An array of credit and charge cards to fit different spending needs are available, including the recently introduced flexible payment option credit card where customers can pay a minimum of 5% per month on their purchases while earning rewards points for every riyal spent.
