Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Qatar’s leading Islamic Bank, announced the relocation of its Al Gharrafa branch to a new location at the newly opened Q-Mall. The new location is less than 500m of the old branch and will provide easy access to QIB’s banking services to customers working and living within the area.
The new branch will be open from 7:30am – 1pm Sunday to Thursday as well as 5pm – 7:30pm Sunday to Wednesday and 9am – 12noon on Saturday as per the Bank’s commitment to have a strong presence in the heart of Qatar’s most thriving communities. The new branch has a special section set aside for the Bank’s Tamayuz clients, and a dedicated center for ladies customers to enjoy complete privacy.
In keeping with the Bank’s customer-centric approach, the branch will offer customers a full range of QIB products and services to meet both every day and specialized financial needs. Customers can open bank accounts, apply for a suite of financing products and credit cards, and receive expert and personalized advice about Takaful services and other Islamic banking services.
This move is part of QIB’s strategy to renovate and expand its branch network in order to provide a seamless banking experience by being closer to its customers wherever they are. With the relocated Al Gharafa Branch being a flagship QIB branch located in one of the busiest areas in Doha, the Bank has introduced a new SMS notification service to minimize any waiting time for its customers. With this new service, customers upon coming to the branch have the option by inserting their mobile number to the Qmatic self service machine to receive an electronic ticket which will trigger a sms notification to their mobile when their turn to be served come. Therefore, customers do not need any more to wait at the branch, instead, they can utilize their time at Q-Mall until they receive the alert SMS to return to the branch to be served.
The new branch is designed to optimize the space and make it even more welcoming with the customer experience in mind. The open-plan design emphasizes QIB’s values of purity, simplicity and transparency. The use of colors adds to the modern and fresh feel to conduct business in. Most importantly, the branch features upgraded technology, which along with the new look and feel reflects QIB’s identity as a modern Islamic bank. This state of the art design is currently implemented across all key QIB branches.
