Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Qatar’s leading Islamic bank, has opened a new state-of-the-art branch in Al Shahaniya city, right next to Sahaniya petrol station, as part of its expansion strategy to be at the centre of new and thriving communities in the country. The new and bigger branch is replacing an older one and will be open from Sundays to Thursdays from 7:30 am to 1 pm.
In keeping with QIB’s vision of offering its customers an immersive banking experience, the new branch is designed with customer convenience as a particularly singular standout feature. There is a dedicated centre for ladies; and the open-plan layout provides more welcoming space, while the use of colours is so designed to add to a modern business environment.
Customers at this branch will be able to open a variety of accounts, apply for a suite of financing, debit and credit cards, discuss a host of Takaful services and consult on other Islamic banking services with a dedicated team of staff. In addition, an ATM & CDM (Cash Deposit Machine) at the branch offers customers 24 hour service with access to all their accounts.
D. Anand, General Manager of QIB’s Personal Banking Group, said that the opening of Al Shahaniya branch helped the Bank to get closer to its customers in order to meet their growing demand for top Islamic banking services in Qatar.
“QIB puts great emphasis on providing all its customers with a convenient banking experience and at Al Shahaniya we have ensured that the branch features the latest technology, which, along with the new look and feel of the branch reflects QIB’s commitment to provide a seamless banking experience through a unique branch environment.”
“This expansion of physical premises goes hand in hand with ongoing investments in electronic channels such as a state of the art internet banking system, our mobile banking applications and 24/7 Call Centre. The Bank has recently launched “QIB Aman” to further secure customers online banking experience through the usage of the One Time Password (OTP).” Anand concluded.
