Qatar Islamic Bank (QIB), Qatar’s leading Islamic bank, has opened a new state-of-the-art branch in the city of Umm Slal as part of its expansion strategy to be at the centre of thriving communities in the country. The new branch will be open from Sundays to Thursdays from 7:30 am to 1 pm.
The branch will be on the “Umm Slal Mohammed Road” in Barzan Souq, and will be divided into three main sections serving men, ladies and affluent customers. It brings a diverse range of premium QIB products and services to customers in the area in addition to an ATM & CDM (Cash Deposit Machine) at the branch offers customers 24 hour service with access to all their accounts.
There is a main banking hall, whose open-plan layout provides a welcoming space, while the use of colors adds to the modern business environment. There is also a dedicated Tamayuz centre, catering to the demands of affluent customers; and there is a special section for ladies, who can enjoy an atmosphere of complete privacy, while also being able to use a separate entrance from outside the branch. All the areas make use of the very latest technology, which, along with the new look and feel of the branch, reflects QIB’s identity as a progressive Islamic Bank.
Umm Slal Branch will welcome customers Sundays to Thursdays from 7.30am to 1pm, customers at Umm Slal City will be able to open a variety of bank accounts, apply for a suite of financing, debit and credit cards, discuss a host of Takaful services, and consult on other Islamic banking services with a specialised team of staff.
Umm Slal is indeed a very promising area situated in the north of Qatar and with a population exceeding 60,000 people; Umm Slal City is growing rapidly and already features high level housing, malls, and various institutions. Also it will host one of the 2022 World Cup stadiums, whose design will be a contemporary version of a traditional Arab fort and will be located in close proximity to one of Qatar’s important forts.
The new branch increases the Bank’s country-wide network to 30 local branches and over 160 ATMs across the country. This expansion in physical locations complements the Bank’s on-going investments in electronic channels, such as an innovative internet banking system, QIB’s mobile banking applications, a 24/7 customer service call centre as well as SMS banking.
It’s worth mentioning that the branch is the 7th offering Tamayuz services to QIB affluent customers and the 13th featuring a ladies centre. QIB Tamayuz customers will have qualified relationship managers who can provide the personalized advice and service to meet the affluent customers’ advanced banking needs, a direct Tamayuz call centre 44533000 with agents available around the clock, seven days a week. In addition, Tamayuz members will enjoy a number of extra benefits such as an exclusive Platinum Debit MasterCard, a Co-branded Qatar Airways and QIB Platinum Visa Credit Card along with a priority pass card granting complimentary access to over 600 international airport lounges. Moreover, they will benefit from preferential rates on all financing products, savings and Takaful plans.
