What to do if your QIB card is lost or stolen

Losing your Debit or Credit Card can be stressful – but acting fast can protect your money and prevent unauthorized transactions. At QIB, we’ve made it simple for you to block your card instantly, dispute unauthorized transactions, and request a replacement directly through the QIB Mobile App.

Step 1: Block your card immediately

If your card is lost, stolen, or used for any suspicious activity, log in to the QIB Mobile App and follow these steps:

  1. Tap on the card you want to block s
  2. Select “Manage Card”
  3. Toggle the deactivate button to temporarily block your card

This process immediately disables your card, denying access to new transactions.

Step 2: Review and dispute unauthorized transactions

Once your card is blocked, review your recent transactions directly on the QIB Mobile App.

  • If you notice any unauthorized transaction, tap on it, and select “Raise a Dispute”
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to submit your claim instantly

Our team will investigate your dispute promptly and update you on its status through the app or SMS.

Step 3: Request a replacement

After blocking your card, you can request a replacement quickly within the app:

  1. Tap more, then select “Replace My Card”
  2. Confirm your request

The replacement request blocks your current card, issues a new Digital Card and initiates the delivery of a new card to the registered address via Qatar Post. While waiting for your physical card, you can activate your new card digitally, add it to digital wallets, and make payments effortlessly.

Step 4: Stay protected

To avoid similar situations in the future, always remember to:

  • Keep your card in a secure place
  • Avoid sharing your card number, PIN, OTP, or Secure Key with anyone
  • Always track your spends in real time through QIB transaction notification
  • Regularly review your account activity and update your contact details

If you believe your card has been stolen or fraudulently used, block it immediately on the QIB Mobile App, raise a dispute, and call the 24/7 Contact Center (4444 8444) for further assistance. Our dedicated team will guide you through the process and ensure your account remains protected.
