Transactions originating from EEA and UK Countries or merchants under Government, Fuel and Auto dealers as defined by Visa/Mastercard rules will be awarded ONLY 50% of Absher points on any QIB Debit or Credit Card.

How to Activate my Absher Account?
How to Activate my Absher Account?
First time Activation:
– Log into the Absher Portal and Click on the Activation tab, you will be asked to enter the Qatar ID number (QID), QIB RIM Number and the Captcha Code.
– The QID and RIM should exactly match with the existing data with QIB to successfully register.
On entering the above:
- You will be asked to enter an OTP (OTP will be sent to the your registered mobile number).
- You will be asked to create a new password / Retype the password
- Your QIB registered email ID will be automatically be displayed.
Note: In case your email ID is not registered with QIB, Absher activation will not be possible. You should update your email ID using QIB Mobile App or Call Center before proceeding to QIB Absher activation.
- You will be asked to tick the box to agree on the Terms & Conditions of the Absher program
- An email activation link will be sent to your email
- Click the link in the email which will then be directed to the QIB Absher portal and confirm its successful subscription.
Activation and Viewing Absher points through QIB Mobile App:
Customers can Activate their Absher account by logging in QIB Mobile App as per below:
- Customer logs into QIB Mobile App
- The Absher point balance will be seen on the first page below Account balance
- If the customer did not yet activate the Absher account, an option to “Activate” will be available
- On clicking “Activate” a new screen opens which shows
- the customers registered mobile number with QIB ( non-editable field)
- the customers email id ( editable field) ; the email entered will be used for all further communications from QIB
- a new password has to be created and then click “Submit” button.
- An OTP is generated
- Customer has to key in the OTP and the Absher account immediately gets activated.
